Sport Update

It's been a busy week in the Sport Department.....

Chess

Well done to our 6th class chess team who competed at the AIJS Chess tournament at Rathgar Junior School. It was a very intense tournament with a move having to be made every 10 seconds, but the girls took this in their stride and put in a great overall performance. Well done ladies!

Hockey
A huge congratulations to our Eagles and Ospreys hockey teams who played their last Leinster league match this week. As always, the girls put in two great performances and did the school proud. The level of sportsmanship on display is always a pleasure to see and we are extremely proud of all our hockey teams. A huge thank you to Ms Steenson and all our hockey coaches who have worked tirelessly since the start of the year. All eyes are now on the league tables to see if any of our teams are through to the next round?

Orienteering
What a great day we had orienteering with all our 5th class girls at Tymon Park. Orienteering is such a great way to get everyone exercising whilst using our brains and enjoying the great outdoors. We are so proud of all our participants and are already looking forward to our next event. A huge thanks to our expert parent orienteerer, Colleen and her partner in crime, Ms Steenson.
