It's been another fabulous week here in MAMJS.
This week we have been celebrating the Goal of 'Intellect' which is the Yellow colour on our Ethos flower.
Following on from assembly on Wednesday, Ms Beatty took us through her Intellect presentation again on Friday (see PDF below) and has created an 'Intellect' quote wall which we will update over the coming weeks. Some fabulous quotes up there already - which one is your favourite? or do you have a different one?
Ms Bronach's class presented some of their Volcano projects which are truly fantastic, Ms Rachel's class told us all about 'hibernation' and what that means and Ms Ruth's class performed a song and dance for us. Well done girls!
Earlier in the week Ms Siobhan's class learned a new Poem, 'Book Club' for 1st and 2nd Class started, our Montessori classes were learning about 'hot & cold' amongst other things and Ms Sarah has been working on lots of singing and dancing with everyone!
We also completed a mini 'science week' here. Take a look at the update (PDF) below. We have developed our scientific intelligence and we have challenged ourselves to learn lots of new things. Astrophysicist Jocelyn Bell Burnell once said – ‘Science is a quest for understanding’ and in MAMJS our quest to understand the world around is well underway.
On top of all of this we had a special assembly with the Secondary School TY girls who challenged us with coming up with the questions for the Quiz night!! They will be at your drop off zone all next week .. so don't forget to bring €1 and take a guess.
