Active 'Sports' Week

Active 'Sports' Week

Not just 'Sports Day' but Active Week has been a packed to the rafters event so far (the rain held off for the most part). Every day each class has been busy with Yoga, Dance, Bootball, Traditional Races - sprints, sack races to name but a few, Rounders, Kick Darts..... and that's just for starters!!!!

Past Pupil Kate Doherty came in the talk with our 3rd - 6th classes and how inspirational this young lady is.... she spoke with us about her training schedule and how she fits that in with her College studies. What it is like racing in a big stadium, representing Ireland and still enjoying it all. We got to see her World Athletics relay from 2021 on the big screen and even got to hold her medal! Thank you Kate.

5th Class had an unbelieveable experience at the Cycling Velodrome in Crumlin on Wednesday and Thursday. Huge thanks again to Mr Turner and Cycling Ireland for enabling this event. The girls were incredible.

We have our step challenge on Friday and the annual Teachers V 6th class rounders still to enjoy....

Well done to Ms Buckley and Ms Baynes in the PE Dept for an incredible week.
