Classroom

Each of our classrooms have a bright, attractive, welcoming and inclusive atmosphere that is conducive to learning. From 3rd-6th class, each pupil has a personal cubby and locker to support their organisational skills. Each room is equipped with an interactive whiteboard, smart TV, with accompanying computer, printer and scanner. The school has invested in a wide variety of resources to support consolidate and extend our girls' educational journey.

Library

We have a fully stocked library, run by our librarian and supported by our parents, with diverse literacy material catering for a variety of reading levels and interests. Each year group has a weekly allocation to browse and select books of their choice to enhance their love of reading. We host book club and storytelling throughout the year. Our students also enjoy ‘author visits’, where they are inspired by the written word. We have a wide range of over 5,000 books of a variety of genres to be enjoyed.

Butterfly Room

We are pleased to introduce our new Butterfly room! Our Butterfly room is a unique sensory space where students can come to meditate, relax, engage in mindfulness activities and feel comfortable in their surroundings. The Butterfly Room is stacked with bean-bags, cushioned benches, and teddy bears. Teachers have access to a smart projector and computer for demonstrations, or can simply enjoy quiet meditation with their students.

Chapel

We have access to a beautiful 19th century chapel on our campus. The children
can view and enjoy the Harry Clarke windows as the pupils are often in the
chapel. They attend a weekly music class in a room at the side of the chapel,
monthly celebrations for First Friday Mass and also regularly celebrate other
events in the religious calendar, such as the Christmas Carol Service, Madeleine
Sophie Barat Day and many more Sacred Heart celebrations

General Purpose Area

Assemblies are held twice weekly in our General Purpose (GP) room. It is also
used for early morning supervision, rainy day break times with access to a covered outdoor area and for PE lessons during the colder months. In dry weather, we encourage our students to partake in Physical Education classes
outside in our vast grounds, using the facilities. The room can be divided
into two parts for choir practices, events or talks for both pupils and parents.

Support Rooms

In MAMJS we encourage children to become resilient, confident and challenged learners. We want them to be excited about coming to school and about learning. From time to time, a child may need additional support or they may need to be further challenged. We, the support team, are committed to working with the children, their teachers and their parents to meet those needs.
