Visit from Author PJ Lynch

PJ Lynch, author and illustrator, came to visit our school on Friday 31st January. The visit was held in the Atrium and attended by 4th class and 6th class. PJ gave us a run through all the books he has illustrated and worked on over the years. He has worked with many writers illustrating their books, e.g., The Dog Who Lost His Bark with Eoin Colfer but he has also written books himself such as The Boy Who Fell Off the Mayflower. As well as illustrating books he is involved in other projects such as designing coins for the Royal Mint in England and murals for churches – the most famous being the mosaic behind the altar at the Knock Shrine in Co. Mayo.

PJ was a very engaging speaker who took time for questions from the girls and also gave them a drawing lesson at the end of his talk. The girls thoroughly enjoyed his visit.
